Q: Can you tell us why you wrote your book?

I can only write a book if my heart is truly moved – by something. My father had recently died and my heart and mind were touched by this thought: That a mystical blue energy is contacting the Earth and human minds, right now, in 2012. It’s very real.

Q: Which part of the book was the hardest to write?

There’s metaphysical section in Chapter 4; it deals with the advent of the Aquarian Age and the mythical Water Bearer who renews humanity with his jug of purified water. I re-wrote this over one hundred times. It had to be absolutely clear – and fascinating.

Q: Does your book have an underlying message that readers should know about?

Yes, that the power of love is being taken to a new zenith. It’s trying to happen, but we’re trapped in old patterns of thinking, and old servitudes. The Bluelite Message offers a way beyond that. A vision of the Aquarian Age which is very real. This is not science fiction.

Q: Do you remember when the writing bug hit?

I graduated the USC Film School and wrote a lot of screenplays. That began in my late teens. In the back of my mind, though, I always believed I would turn to writing books someday, especially as this allows so much more autonomy of creative expression, which is what I’m really all about.

Q: Do you have a writing tip you’d like to share?

Oddly enough, I just write what I, myself, would like to read. Literally, in each second, I’m transcribing my thoughts that way. New writers need to “hear” that inner voice. Great writers are really just great transcribers. That’s the secret they don’t tell you.

Q: Can you tell us a little about your childhood?

I was born in Buffalo, New York (actually the town of Kenmore), but came to Los Angeles when I was 4. My childhood was magical and challenging, both. Magical because I saw into the Magical State I so often write about, but challenging because my father had a drug-dependency problem which always affected my surroundings. This was complicated by the fact he was an amazing and miraculous human being. I adored my father.

Q: Where’s your favorite place to write at home?

I wrote The Bluelite Message in my den. I try the occasional session at Starbucks, but I’m funny about taking my laptop out of the house. I like to be cozy, and close to my kitchen, to be perfectly honest.

Q: Are you familiar with the social networks and do you actively participate?

I’m very busy on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr every day. I also have a blog on Goodreads. I encourage everyone to check them out, they feature Keith Dartman, the character from The Bluelite Message, and are extremely fun, like following a comic book serial.

Q: If you could be anywhere in the world other than where you are right now, where would that place be?

I love Sicily. The weather, the land, the food, the whole vibration there. Plus I’m part Italian and have ancestral roots there. It’s intensely romantic to me.

Q: Thank you so much for this interview, Michael. Do you have any final words?

The Bluelite Message is often called a message in a bottle. We all need something entirely unexpected to inspire us. Something that washes up, onto the shores of our heart. This is that message. I know you’ll enjoy it. Here’s the link to Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/1478229748

The Bluelite Message ABOUT THE BLUELITE MESSAGE

This message in a bottle is crossing oceans and touching human hearts. The Bluelite Message has been called a text message from Heaven. The messenger is Keith Dartman and the message is the power of one, the glory of persistence – over unthinkable loss. Written by Michael An’gileo after the death of his own father, the “blue book,” as it’s often called, is finding its way into the hearts of many. Keith Dartman is the reluctant messenger who overcomes the loss of one so dear, to deliver what eludes us all. The healing grace and power beyond our own desperation. Part message, part magic, part miracle, the sparkling message reaches a remote island and the lives of 12 women who wear the blue light upon their eyes. Together they dance the Magic Dance, and we discover more than a book of blue. Indigo is the color of the human soul, and these 13 float the hidden mysteries of Atlantis into our modern-day hearts. This blue book is the book of our lives, for each of us who knows the true bottle is the human heart itself, and a message in a moment of tireless searching can never be ignored.

“An excellent book which I thoroughly enjoyed. I read it in one sitting; having reached the end of page 2, I was totally hooked so I had no choice but to finish. One of, if not the, best books I’ve ever read.”

“Brilliant… Would like to see 6 or 7 thousand sequels though, or similar works from this innovative, extremely eloquent wordsmith.”
