Pump Up Your Book joins Google+ to help authors promote their books

google_plus Back when Twitter was in its infancy, I joined but never fully understood just what Twitter could do for me.  The first impression I got was that it was just another social network and nothing like we see today.  As I fully understood what a GREAT social networking tool it was, I look back on those early years and could have kicked myself in the butt.  Facebook came along and I was more prepared.

Now we’re seeing Google+.  By now, I’m fully aware that you should never ignore a possible good thing as far as social networks go because you just never know how far a reach they can become.  Recently (or at least I just noticed it), we can now add “pages” much like Facebook.  This gives authors of companies such as Pump Up Your Book a great opportunity to “brand” themselves.

I immediately set up a page and went to work inviting my friends, etc. Then it dawned on me.  Why not open up the page to authors outside of Pump Up Your Book as well as our own clients who want to tell the world how they are promoting their books so that other authors can learn from them?

Here’s how it’ll work.  If you have a promotional venue coming up, post the link!  Guest posts, interviews, podcasts..maybe you just want to let everyone know about your new website or blog?  What if you want to share a great marketing link or you have great marketing advice yourself?  Or maybe you just want to let the world you have become a new published author?

Pump Up Your Book’s new Google+ page is now open to all published authors and book bloggers who have links to share of upcoming interviews/guest posts/reviews (book related of course).  Not only published authors, but book bloggers are also welcome!  Share your links with our growing community!

With all the social networking tools that are available on the web it’s encouraging to know that Google+ is throwing their hat in the ring. With a new release I’ll have to get my feet wet and give it a try.
